Founded in 2012, R2M Solution is a multidisciplinary engineering company and innovation accelerator specialized in R&D, innovative products and technical consulting, operating across four branches: Italy, Spain, France and United Kingdom. Its main objective is to bridge the gap between research activities promoted by the European Union and their application across various sectors ripe for market disruption with a deep focus on real estate and the energy transition.

R2M Italy operates through three Divisions: 

1. Innovation, linked to EU-funded research programs covering 4 different thematic areas, Digital and Sustainable Transition in Building, Energy & Technologies, Smart and Sustainable Communities, Industry of The Future;
2. Innovative Products: where the research to market approach is applied using innovative products and services in R2I portfolio to real-estate projects, customizing the best technologies for the Real Estate sector, with a focus on digitalization, sustainability and energy efficiency;
3. Sustainability & Energy Services: providing ESG consulting, green building certifications, dynamic energy simulation, energy management and analytics.

R2I brings extensive expertise in energy transition, urban regeneration, and building stock decarbonization, developed through collaborative projects with municipalities across Italy and Europe. Specifically, it has deep proficiency in Decarbonization and planning (SECAP), Smart Cities, Dynamic Energy Modelling, Energy Communities, Integrated PV solutions, Crowdlending, Smart Readiness Indicators, Digital Building Logbook, Performance Test WELL, LEED, BREAM, Scan2BIM. Since 2012, R2I has been involved in a rich portfolio of Commercial and R&D projects.

Role of your organization in the project

As part of LEGOFIT’s multidisciplinary consortium, R2I leverages its expertise in building modelling and innovative and sustainability tools to support the development of Energy Positive Homes.

R2I applied its expertise in SCAN2BIM methodology, performing SCAN2BIM activities in Spain and Hungary to generate accurate information for BIM models development.

Additionally, R2I is the responsible partner for guiding the development of BIM models of the pilot buildings, a crucial component of the Legofit Platform: they support the design process of the Energy Positive Homes.

R2I also leads the development of the Digital Building Logbook (DBL): a common repository for all relevant building data. Fully integrated with the Legofit Platform, the DBL collaborates with other circularity tools, aiming at optimizing building performance and sustainability throughout the construction lifecycle.

With extensive experience in DBL development, EU research projects and academic publications, R2I brings valuable expertise to LEGOFIT, driving innovation in digitalization, circularity, and energy efficiency.
